Action research article on using remote voting in History lessons published in national History journal

Following Diana Laffin's action research project in 2006, the Secondary Education Journal of The Historical Association  (issue 133) have published an updated version of this report into using remote voting software as a technique for encouraging full involvement in History lessons. Diana is an Assistant Director of Teaching for Learning at The Sixth Form College Farnborough and Senior Curriculum Manager for History. The title quote,  'If everyone's got to vote then, obviously...everyone's got to think', illustrates one of the key benefits of this teaching strategy.

In recognition of the College's work on encouraging reflective practice as part of teachers' CPD and in disseminating good practice, Ofsted have now included a full report on Farnborough's action research. Other schools and colleges can read about how these are used at the College and consider how they might use this practice as part of their own Teaching and Learning strategy.
